Resources to practice English

Hi there! 

We want to provide you with some resources to practice and improve your English! These resources are divided into groups: the first one is a list of Internet websites.




  1. Use of Internet
            Internet is one of the tools widely used among today’s students, especially in the secondary compulsory school. There are many resources we can employ with specific didactic functions. Some of them are:

 1.1.  Websites: exercises, games and basic English language activities:

British Council’s Official website. There are exercises, games, videos, reading and listening comprehensions, etc.

Website which offers vocabulary and grammar exercises as well as activities using films and songs.

Interactive games to practice the English language.

· Oxford University Press: 
Organized in levels, it shows grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and audio exercises as well as texts, games and links to other webs.

· Project Gutenberg: http://www.gutenberg.org/
Books and texts written by many classic and modern authors to be read online or to be downloaded. It is a reliable source for the students and it covers 60 languages.

Short stories to work in the classroom or at home.

·  Storybird: http://storybird.com/
Website where students can create their own stories. They are published there. It can be employed to practice the written language in a different way.
